Dr Bertold BÄR-BOUYSSIERE

Dr. Bertold BÄR-BOUYSSIERE, LL.M. is a qualified lawyer in Germany and New York. For the past thirty years, he has been passionate about competition law, a legal field that defines and reflects the relationship between the state and businesses – between regulation and entrepreneurial freedom. As a member of international law firms since 1994 and based in Brussels, he regularly engages with the European Commission on reforms in this area. Having served for six years on the board of one of the world’s largest law firms, he now practices within the Dentons association. As a member of the Executive Committee of the Belgium-Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Bertold has also served as Co-Chair of the Competition Policy Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce to the EU (AmChamEU). He is the author of several books, articles, and columns covering current affairs in this field, among others:
