Radhi MEDDEB is a graduate engineer from the École Polytechnique de Paris (1975) and the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Paris (1977). He began his career at Compagnie des Phosphates de Gafsa – Tunisia (1977-1982), before joining Société Tuniso Saoudienne d’Investissement et de Développement (1982-1987). He is the founder (1987) and CEO of the COMETE Group, including COMETE International, COMETE real estate, COMETE Engineering and its subsidiaries COMETE Libya and COMETE Algeria. The group operates in the fields of engineering, consultancy and real estate in the Maghreb countries and sub-Saharan Africa.

Radhi MEDDEB founded and managed Arab Leasing International Finance (Saudi Arabia) from 1987 to 2006 and Algerian Saudi Leasing (Luxembourg) from 1990 to 2006. He chairs the Board of Directors of Banque Tuniso-Koweitienne (BTK Groupe BPCE France). He is a director of the Carte Vie insurance group and Chairman of the Board of Directors of CFE Tunisie (Groupe des caisses Desjardins Canada). He was a member of the National Statistics Council (2005-2010) and a member of the Board of the Central Bank of Tunisia (2011).

In 2011, he founded Action et Développement Solidaire, an NGO, Think and Act Tank whose objective is to identify and promote the implementation of a holistic economic and social programme in Tunisia that is inclusive, supportive, sustainable and effective, providing all Tunisians with the opportunity to be active stakeholders in the development process. He published a programme book in Arabic and French: “Ensemble, construisons la Tunisie de demain: modernité, solidarité et performance” in October 2011 and coordinated the production of a book for young people: “Tounesna” in August 2012.
