Of Cameroonian nationality, Dr. Jacob KOTCHO is currently serving at the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS), where he holds the position of Director of the Common Market, after having previously served as Head of Macroeconomic Policies and Head of Trade, Customs, and Industry Services.

Dr. Kotcho has also coordinated several programs, including the Support Program for the Competitiveness of the Cameroonian Economy at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), and the Institutional Support Program for the Implementation of the WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement in Central Africa.

He has taken part in negotiations of various international trade agreements, such as the Economic Partnership Agreement between the European Union and Central African countries, and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), among others.

Dr. Kotcho has contributed to numerous research projects and has published many articles on regional integration in Africa and Africa’s participation in global trade.
