Dr Barnabé TANG AHANDA
Dr. TANG AHANDA Barnabé, born in the Central region of Cameroon, specifically the Mfoundi Division, holds a Master’s degree in Probability-Statistics Computer Science from the University of Rouen (France). In 1998, he obtained his Doctorate in Applied Mathematics (Statistics) with highest honors from the University of Paris IX Dauphine (France).
With extensive experience in politics, Dr. TANG AHANDA Barnabé has worked alongside his teaching positions at various institutions. He began his career at the Ministry of Economy, Planning and Regional Development, before moving on to the Ministry of Public Works, where he served as Chief of the Division of Studies, Standards, and Planning, Chief of the Division of Planning, Programming, and Standards, Chief of the Division of Cooperation and Partnership at the Ministry of Public Works, and Inspector General of Services at the Ministry of Public Works. Since October 2022, he has been serving as a Special Advisor in the Prime Minister’s Office.
According to Dr. TANG AHANDA Barnabé, “His Excellency President Paul BIYA has set a course for the development of the digital economy in line with his vision of development. This direction is materialized in the SND30, where the digital economy is recognized as a strategic component of the pillar focused on the structural transformation of the economy. However, for an African country to achieve a high level of economic competitiveness, special emphasis must be placed on strategic and competitive intelligence.”
